Father's Day

yaksha42Call dad for Father's Day. Didn't talk for very long. Reminded him I'm coming home Friday, still not sure who is picking me up, but I'll get home. He was having a BBQ, the rest of the kids were there. They got him a really nice hammock for Fathers Day :P
It was a bit hard to understand him at some times. About 4 or 5 years ago, he got cancer in his mouth. As a result of his radiation, the roof of his mouth with gone and it was difficult understanding him. Think about talking without letting your tongue hit the roof of your mouth. He got a mouthpiece though, and he sounded just like he usually did. But, with the new treatment, his mouthpiece doesn't fit. So he'll need to go get a new one. Everything else seems to be going ok though.
Will need to figure out when and how I'm going to get back to Portland so I can meet up with Hallah before my plane. Talked to her last night. She was just a little bit drunk ... and was very amusing :-D We figured if we had enough time, we could go downtown. Or we'd just hang out at the airport.
