The Matrix
May. 17th, 2003 11:19 pmBack from seeing The Matrix 2. I really liked it. The fight scenes kicked ass. I'll refrain from posting any spoilers for those who don't want to read :P
We went to the mall beforehand. I had to get a new blanket. The one I have has turned into a poncho O.o Got a semi-cheap one at JC Penny's. Yay! New blankie!!!
We were walking around and decided to go to the Knife Shop. Was looking at a few things and I saw they had the replica Lord of the Rings swords on the wall. I jokingly asked if I could hold one. They said sure. I actually held Glamdring for a few seconds. Too scared to swing with it, I just tested the weight and how difficult it would be to go from pointing down to pointing up. I hurt a muscle doing it, it was pretty heavy. The muscle is still sore. But it was very fun to hold. I impressed/scared the woman at the counter by reading the Elvish cirth written on it. Very cool, but at $295, a but expensive.
Josh and I spent the most of the rest of the time outside talking. Neither of us like big crowds very much. We waited for about an hour before the people who Josh was going with showed up. Our seats weren't bad. Two rows from the top on the right side.
The most annoying thing happened right when the movie started. Whoever was in the booth running the movie was either watching TV or listening to the radio and it was WAY TOO LOUD. One of the guys behind us got on the seat below the little projector window and banged on the window. No help. So someone finally got up and left. The sound stopped a few minutes later. But I basically missed the first 5 or 10 minutes of it. I want my money back!!! :P
Now I'm home, eating pretzels and cheese, Josh's friend just came over and we're discussing our mess of a room.
