yaksha42I occasionally make up weird, quirky, stories that have no point to them. I usually type them out then just close Word without saving. But I’m bored right now so I figured I would post it and annoy everyone with this. I'm sure I ripped it off from somewhere and just don't remember :p
Doug was sitting in the cafeteria eating a chicken burger when his good friend Liz came up to him and sat down.
“Hey Doug,” she said. “A month ago you were really nice and gave me $50 so I could get food to eat while I was out of a job. I really appreciate it, and I know you said I didn’t have to pay you back, but now that I have a new job and things are going well, I wanted to do it anyway.” She pulled a $50 bill out of her purse.
“You don’t owe me $50 Liz,” countered Doug.
“Oh quit being so proud and take the money,” she said.
“You must be confused, you don’t owe me any money nor do I have any reason to take it.” Doug was a very proud person and believed that anything given in friendship shouldn’t be paid back.
Liz rolled her eyes slightly. “Yes, I do.”
“No you don’t,” he said.
“Yes I do,” she said.
“No you don’t,” he said.
“Yes I do,” she said.
“No you don’t,” he said.
“No I don’t,” she suddenly said.
“Yes you do,” he said
“No I don’t,” she said a little louder.
“Listen!” he said. “When I say you owe me the money I gave you, that means I do!”
“Fine,” she said handing him the $50 bill and walking off.
Doug chuckled to himself while putting the money in his pocket, “I love reverse psychology.”
Unfortunately nobody ever said Doug was smart.
