Me and Josh went to Fry's to get some more jet dry for the dishwasher, and some snacks. I found altoid strips!!!! You know the listering strip things? Well, they're now in altoid form! weeee :D
After that, we went to Wal*Mart and bought a new lamp. It's one that has three different bulbs and we can adjust which way they shine. Josh likes the room bright so that's why we got that one. I checked out my webcam with it and it's not dark anymore so that's good :)
Next, we went to Jack in the Box. I got a jumbo jack and two tacos. I had never had them tacos before, but Aina always raves about them, so I figured what the hell. So we got back to the apartment and I bit into the taco. Umm ... OK ... this is a taco? Tastes more like they threw everthing into a taco shell and just deep fryed the whole thing. Oh well, it was only 99 cents for the two of them. They were just withtin the range of edibility.
Once we were done eating we decided to plug in the lamp and get it going. Put one bulb in. Everything was good. Put another bulb in. The room was getting nice and bright. Put the third bulb in ... POW.
The room was covered in darkness. The circuit break had gone.
See, this is what happens when you try to run two computers, two monitors, a small lamp, a large lamp, and a few other knickknacks. It just doesn't like it. So we tried again. Rather cautiously. This time, everything seemed to be OK. The lamps are all working and I show up nice and bright on my webcam. Weee! No more dark Yakky!
Didn't do much today, goofing around mostly. I have Business and Sociology tomorrow, then the Excel class. Shouldn't be too difficult. Need to call the data entry place and see what all I need to do to get set up.

Date: 2003-04-07 04:55 am (UTC)so I'm eating it and I'm like "um Aina... what flavour is this?" she goes "Its great, its full of Mexican spices and stuff" and I'm like "it.. it tastes kinda spicy... what flavour is it?" and she goes "Chilli! :D" and I'm like "WHAT?" and she goes 'But it gets better... its just like Puberty, it starts off bad, but then it gets better'
So the next layer was Mango which was nice, but then it went back to the really gross SALTY Chilli flavour again, and I'm like 'I really don't think i can finish this Aina" and to be honest, the fact that everyone in chat was calling it the "puberty lolly' really wasn't making it seem any more appetising...
Aina insisted that just like Puberty it would all be worthwhile in the end, as the lollypop had bubblegum in the middle, but i didn't last that long... i had to chuck it and clean my poor Australian palette with some lettuce... it wasn't the best thing to eat first thing in the morning

Date: 2003-04-07 08:52 am (UTC)I don't like these altoid ones much. They don't "melt" quite like the listerines and seem to just jumble up onto one part of my tongue.
I offered one to my roommate Josh "No thanks, I don't do acid."
