Finally have my internet back :)
I called Cox today, took half an hour for them to fix the problem. Most of the time was because I called, gave them all my info, told them the problem, they tried a few things, said they were going to transfer me to a tech support person (even though that's who I thought I called ... ), and when they did that, it hung me up.
I called again. Same thing as above. Had to repeat all my info, they tried the same stuff again, they said they were going to transfer me, I told them it disconnected me last time, they said it wouldn't. It did.
Called for a third time. Repeat above. Told them NOT to transfer me. Finally, they called the person who they were trying to transfer me to, and did a different type of transfer that worked. Talked with the guy there. He figured out what was wrong and connected me. Yay!
