Stupid Event of the Day
Feb. 6th, 2003 06:55 pmWe had time today to work on both our Final Projects, one for Ethics concerning the Exxon Valdez, and the other for our electronics Final Project. There were 4 of us, so we worked on both, kind of alternating back and forth. I had the power point presentation for the Ethics saved on my zip disk. My lab partner needed the program for the electronics project on his computer, which was also on my zip. So I saved the power point presentation to the desktop, not wanting to accidentally lose it.
So we worked more on both projects, finally we decided we were all hungry, so we started to pack up. I saved the power point and logged out of the computer. Unfortunately, I still had it stored on the desktop. A little info on our school computers, they delete everything you’ve saved on the desktop when you log out.
Now, the good news is I didn’t add too much to the power point. Luckily one of the guys is doing most of it on paper, and then will give it to me to put in power point, but it’s still a moment where I wish there was a nice brick wall nearby …
