Changing of the Guard

yaksha42So I mentioned last Saturday that I got kicked out of the lab I work in, half hour before I was supposed to close, by a security guard.
I talked with my boss on Monday, he said I should have been there untill 6 and went to call the guard's boss. He was pretty mad about it to. Not that I left, but that I was threatened to leave. I checked back with him on Friday, to make sure everything was cool. He said he had to "rattle a few cages" but everything was good.
So I'm in there today, no problems. Finished Xenocide, read some about PHP/MySQL, which I an learning now. At about 5:45, the usual weekday guard opened the door to the lab, asking if I needed to lock the door. There were still a few people left so I said I would in just a little bit. He said fine. I noticed that another guard was with him, a trainee.
I have no idea what happened to "Al." I suppose it's possible he quit, got fired, reassigned, etc. Wasn't sure whether or not to ask the guard. Ahh well, at least they're respecting my authorit-ah now ;-)
