Eviction

So Gunnar and Jenniifer brought a piece of paper to me a little earlier. She had been changing the oil in his car (and no, that's not an innuendo), one of the managers saw and decided to write us a nice little Eviction Warning. Apparently, you're not allowed to change your oil or do any car maintenance within the complex. So, rather then tell them, they wrote up a paper saying if we do anything in the next 10 days to violate any of the rules, we're going to be evicted.

I'll make sure to get a thing with all the rules all them, so I can read them and make sure we aren't violating any of them. I went to talk with the manager, and something about the way he was talking, it sounded like he was looking for an excuse to kick all of us out. I have no idea why.

The manager I talked with was Tony, who has never been a very friendly guy. He's one of those guys that seems to always hate his job, never wishes he was there, and just wants to piss people off.

I'll try back later, when I go to get the rules, and talk with Janie, who is a bit nicer.

I worked as a propety manager.

1, they can't evict in 10 days, period.

2, you make tony show you, in the lease you signed, where tht is liste as grounds for eviction.

What FG said. Check the laws and the property's rules if he's looking for an excuse to evict you.

It is on the list of rules that all tenants are supposed to follow. (We live in the same complex.) However, when I talked to Janie when we had that one car, she said that little things like oil changing would be OK, and it was intended to keep junkers out of the parking lot; changing oil/sparkplugs OK, replacing engine not OK.

From what Yakky said, it would be 10 days probation where another violation would lead to eviction, eviction taking the normal amount of time, rather than immediate leave now.
