Do you know the way to San Jose?
Jun. 12th, 2005 09:30 pmSo tomorrow I'm off to San Jose for my first bit of training at the new job. Hopefully everything will go smoothly. Right now I'm scheduled to be back in town Friday evening, but depending on how things go, that can change.
I don't have my laptop from work so I was hoping to take my older one. I wanted to get online with it, but haven't been able to since Yammy accidently sat on the connector piece for the NIC. It's not a standard cord and I haven't been able to find a place to buy it, so I tried to get a new NIC this weekend. I found one but wasn't able to install it, as the version of Windows 98 I have isn't compatable. So I may be without Internet access while I'm in San Jose. I'll mess with it more tonight and try and get it to go.
Work has been going pretty well, I've got the orientation and all that out of the way, now they're gonna be shipping me all over the place while I attempt to figure out what exactly is going on.
Oh, and I took some pictures of my new room.
