After Work
Nov. 6th, 2003 01:18 pmWork was fine, some amusing things happened afterwards. First, Josh and I went to Denny's for dinner (at 7AM :p). I got a philly cheese steak with a chocolate shake. She brought the shake out along with the milkshake metal cup with more mix in there. I finished my regular shake and started pooring more into the glass cup. It all came out at once, spilling chocolate shake everywhere.
Next, we went to Fry's Electronic. We wandered around a bit, looked at stuff to kill time untill noon when we could pick up our paycheck. We walked by the TV section, the movie Finding Nemo was just starting. Josh hadn't seen it yet so we started watching. And we finished it. We watched the whole movie, standing up, staring at 4 plasma TVs, from $4000 to $8000. Once the movie was over, we just walked out.
Next we went to Costco, a large grocery store that sells most things in bulk for those that don't know. We're starting the Atkins diet, all meat. We got the majority of what we needed, but we were both pretty thirsty, so we got two big cups of pop. We were walking, drinking, and then it happened. Josh spilled his. All over the groceries. We did the only thing we could do. We ran. Cleverly spreading the majority of the pop around the store, we deftly "borrowed" some paper towels and cleaned the groceries off as best we could. A small puddle formed in the container for the eggs. Josh fixed this problem with a straw. I think a guy at the front counter when we checked out knew we did it. He looked like he was waiting for us, but didn't say anything. Ahh well. We headed out to get our checks.
At first we forgot our paystubs in the truck, so we had to go back to get them. Finally had our checks and headed home. We deposited them, and saw that Josh's katana is now here. He picked that up and we opened it, looks pretty cool.
Well, anyway, I've been up for over 22 hours, So I need bed soon :p I need to be back up in about 7 hours for work. Night all!!
