Dec. 2nd, 2002

About two weeks ago we had a Project Proposal Draft due for our group Senior Project. Our team leader told us all to come up with ideas and we would write one. Well, I got bored at work and wrote nearly a complete a proposal, with just a few things missing. The whole group liked it so they decided to turn it in as is, the Draft I wrote alone got a 100%. Later we would get together for the Final Project Proposal. This was supposed to be due last Wednesday.

Our Professor said because of the long weekend, he would extend the deadline to Monday morning, no later than 9AM (this morning). Plenty of time.

We decided to get together Saturday to finish up the minute details. That was the Saturaday I got sick and couldn't attend. I found out today that the group leader had family in town and also couldn't make the meeting. The other two members of our group did absolutely nothing with the proposal.

So I get an e-mail from the team leader asking if I e-mailed the Proposal to our Professor. This comes as a complete shock to me because he is the one who is in charge of e-mail the professor with reports. I am quite verily vexed at the moment, considering all the work I've done so far with the project. I had already written a proposal that was 90% done and I've also written the program for our HC-11 microprocessor, mostly complete, it works with switches and we just need to change it to work with the phone tones, which shouldn't be much of a problem.

Suffice it to say, it looks like we will be getting a 0 on our Project Proposal, unless we can find a way to sweet talk our Prof into giving us at least partial credit.

I guess the old adage goes, if you want something done right, you've got to do it yourself.

Still a virgin, and quite mad.
